Gym power

Something just came to mind; why don’t gyms generate their own electricity? There are probably well over 100 treadmill and cycling machine users a day – Its eco-friendly, its healthy, and its free. If so, gym membership in future will be more affordable to all …

That is my latest facebook status…
Well,  I always wonder why do people pay a lump sum of money just to work out with machines when they can just do simple brisk walking or simpler exercises in their own home?

the birds, the leaves, and the shiitake

IMG_5817

Birds on the electric cables during a heavy downpour. How is it possible they don’t get electrocuted?

Autumn leaves on the ground, an inspiration for my thesis research (I hope)

And speaking of science, I can’t wait to eat my lab-grown shiitake mushrooms. This is from Forest Resources Lab Practical. Not easy – Now I get the idea why mushrooms are so expensive.

the gods

This is random…

Back in high school, I said this to Wai Hong, who sat beside me for a year…

“Don’t worry, when you sleep tonight, kuan yin, buddha, jesus, prophet muhd, krishna and all other gods will gather and stand by your bed, holding hands, telling you… Wai hong, everything is fineeee~~!”

the end

Dear neighbor,

“Its only a car parking lot dammit!! Why do you need to call the police and make such a big fuss! The lot is for any resident to use and it is not paid for, neither it has your house unit number !!! There are so many lots behind the apartment! My friend is here for only less than 2 hrs every time. You could’ve stuck a paper message on his windscreen telling him to park elsewhere instead of calling the police dammit! …”

I got scolded through the phone by my housing agent this morning … it …. felt …. like ….. sh*t.. Being scolded by a Japanese for the first time in my life! … not even my sensei ,not even my friends, not even my seniors, not even my team leader!!

Flushed …

It makes me contemplate about life when I read the news headlines lately. 3 river accidents within a week…

At that moment, a flashback struck me, about how I almost drowned once while I was kayaking. I slipped and fell into the deeper side of the river. My friend rescued me by rowing as quick as he could towards me > bobbling profusely in the river. Besides death, I couldn’t see a thing… Then came an oar…. I grabbed his oar. I came out of the water and saw his face full of anxiety. … It disgusts me about how I can actually laugh about it after that….

Those victims are merely adults… university students just like me, with a bright future to look forward to …
Back in Form4 and Form5, my literature teacher repeatedly told us : “Live every day like its the last” … She had told us the same thing perhaps almost every day. I couldn’t catch her idea. Even after my near death experience, I still couldn’t, … But what happened lately in Kampar had finally made me think about life all over again. But still and unfortunately, … I still can’t figure out

人生って、何だろう?生きがいは?

Nevertheless, those news articles which I read which gave me the chills had definitely changed me.
“Live every day assuming it is the last”  … think about that …
